September 2024 Newsletter

We are off to a fantastic start! Our first game was so special and I am excited to take our show on the road
this month!

The students continue to amaze me with their work ethic and desire to be the best they can be. We are
working really hard to get as much of the show on the field as possible. Our plan is to have the entire show on
the field by the end of the month!

We are hoping to wear our uniforms and have our flags and props for the game on September 19 or

October 3.

Speaking of uniforms, we could really use your help with hemming and pressing them. Please contact Mrs.
Donahue (crystidonahue@gmail.com). The more people that help, the quicker we can have them done!

Thank you to the parents that continue to invest in our program. Special shout out to Mrs. Watts, Mr. & Mrs.
Donahue, and Mrs. Gandy for all that they do. One of them is up here every day doing something for these
kids. We appreciate all of our volunteers!

Take care,

Mr. Roo

Message from Mr. Roo

Message from Mr. Dempsey

Percussion is off to a great start! We are anxiously awaiting more of our “real” Legacy Ranch equipment and
electronics to come in and it will be a noticeable change in how the front ensemble sounds. We are adding to
our repertoire for stand jams, and also to our “show” music. Looking forward to having the entire musical
production going by the end of next week.

As our equipment and electronics grow, we will need our ranch hand population to grow. Some of the pieces of
equipment will push the 300 pound mark. This heavier equipment will require more “ranch hand” help to
quickly get on and off the field.

Once we have “our” equipment in place we will be having a “Ranch Hand” run thru and work thru. Almost
everything will change, from equipment to plugging in, cabling, set up, wireless placement, stages, etc. Looking
forward to having a full production with all our real stuff.

WRECK EM!

Mr. Dempsey

Message from Mrs. Barnes

Wow! The performance last week was absolutely incredible! I’m incredibly proud of everything Colorguard has
achieved in such a short span. Your dedication and hard work truly shined through, and you all deserve every
bit of recognition coming your way.

Let’s keep this momentum going strong! We’ve had one game, and there are plenty more to come. With the
drive and passion you’ve shown, I’m confident that the rest of the season is going to be nothing short of
amazing. Keep pushing forward and giving it your all—you’ve set a high bar, and I know you’ll continue to
exceed expectations. Here’s to many more fantastic performances ahead!

With love,

Mrs. Barnes
